Biography
An exuberant, stage-trained performer, Lane first won acclaim for his stage portrayals of a teacher in South Africa in Jon Robin Baitz's "The Film Society" (1988), an opera queen in Terrence McNally's "The Lisbon Traviata" (1989) and con man/gambler Nathan Detroit in the 1992 Broadway revival of Frank Loesser's "Guys and Dolls".
